Compassion and forgiveness for…yourself!

D7371868-EBD8-4B7A-92EB-6DE0CF2C84FF

I have been home for three days. It has been a month since the traumatic event and the heart attack. I don’t feel afraid to be in my own home anymore and I am not afraid to go to sleep. I don’t feel shame or embarrassment for renting to someone I didn’t know. I am not mad at myself like I was or nor am I judging myself. ( these are common feelings people who experience trauma feel. Victim shaming doesn’t help)

All of that is gone, not just because I got to hang out at the ocean for 2+weeks but because I did the personal work I needed to do around this incident to be whole again. I had to feel the feelings, listen to them and let them go, so I could move to compassion, forgiveness and self love.

“Listen to your heart” has been one of the underlying messages through each heart event I have experienced. I didn’t listen to my heart this time and ultimately my heart had to show me again.

I didn’t want to rent space in my house, I decided that long ago. I responded out of pressure and fear and overrode my heart. I needed money and this seemed like a win win situation. But I bypassed my heart to do it.

I can’t respond from a place of financial fear and bypass my heart because of money. Even if I feel like I am backed in a corner, like I did. I can’t do it. Anymore…ever.

Responding from fear closes down the flow of prosperity, it doesn’t open the flow like we want it to.

When I am in my heart, knowing I am taken care of, money and resources flow…every time.

Clearing Business Relationships

hooponopono

According to the Hawaiian  practice of forgiveness called Ho’oponopono:

“It is important to clear Karmic patterns with your clients before you start working with them, so that you don’t activate old stuff between you. Perhaps you shouldn’t be working with that person at all. Only the Divinity knows. If you work with a person and it isn’t your business, you can take on the person’s entire problem and everything associated with it. This can cause burnout. The Ho’oponopono gives the tools to prevent that from happening.”

This made me think about business relationships.  What if you did a Ho’oponopono clearing with each customer and Distributor before you began a relationship with them?  It would especially be good for new Distributors because these relationships can last a long time.

Have you ever signed up a new business partner and they a) disappeared right away, b) they stopped taking your calls, c) you worked with them for month before a conflict came up and the quit the business,  d) they had a conflict with you that came from no where, e) they just up and quit the business?

Imagine if you could clear the karma before you started working with them so none of this happened. You would have less drama in you business and more success!

You want to come into a business relationship with a clean slate so you don’t activate old karma. You want to clear the slate so their issue and your own issues don’t get projected and become business issue that ruin your working relationship.

Imagine the success you would have if you entered into business relationships with a clean slate!

It’s never too late to go back and clear relationships with people who are already in your business.

HOW TO DO HO’OPONOPONO

Freedom from Karma

In 1976 Morrnah Simeona, regarded as a healing priest or kahuna lapaʻau, adapted the traditional hoʻoponopono of family mutual forgiveness to the social realities of the modern day. For this she extended it both to a general problem solving process outside the family and to a psycho-spiritual self-help rather than group process

State of Zero

After Simeona’s passing in 1992, her former student and administrator Ihaleakala Hew Len, co-authored a book with Joe Vitale called Zero Limits adapting Simeona’s hoʻoponopono teachings. Taking her teaching to the next level, the book brings the new idea that the main objective of hoʻoponopono is getting to “the state of Zero, where we would have zero limits. No memories. No identity.”  To reach this state, which Len called ‘Self-I-Dentity’, one has to repeat constantly, according to Joe Vitale’s interpretation, the mantra, “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”  It is based on Len’s idea of 100% responsibility, taking responsibility for everyone’s actions (once again according to Joe Vitale’s interpretation), not only for one’s own. If one would take complete responsibility for one’s life, then everything one sees, hears, tastes, touches, or in any way experiences would be one’s responsibility because it is in one’s life. The problem would not be with our external reality, it would be with ourselves. To change our reality, we would have to change ourselves. Total Responsibility, according to Hew Len, advocates that everything exists as a projection from inside the human being.  This practice views all consciousness as part of the whole, so any error that a person clears in their own consciousness should be cleared for everyone.

You can also clear karma as it comes up rather than constantly repeating the mantra through out the day.  As suggested in this post you can clear karma with someone before beginning a relationship with them.

If you are in a relationship already you can still clear the karma anytime.  Imagine going back to each relationship that is part of your business and doing the meditation for each person.  You can use the second meditation video to do that and spend 4 minutes on the people you feel compelled to do a clearing with.

Disappointment Can Get in You Way of Success if you let it!

Disappointment, no mater what area of your life is not pleasant.  If you are an entrepreneur you are opening yourself up to more disappointment than the average person because of the risks you take.  Entrepreneurs do things others won’t and that is often what leads to success, but it doesn’t mean they have a path free of disappointment.  How you handle disappointment either opens a door or puts the breaks on success.  In Direct Sales/ Network Marketing one is often confronted with disappointment, especially if you are selling a product that is new to the market.  I have seen a lot of people join my business and run into disappointment and quit.  We aren’t built to handle disappointment well in our society, let alone know how to transform it.

Disappointment if held on to, creates more of the same.

I recently had some disappointment in my business that sent me on an exploration of what it really meant.  It has been a theme in my life and I wanted to learn how to transform it into something that was useful rather than something that held me back.  Through a conversation with a higher aspect of myself I came to some interesting conclusions.

I started by looking at the word disappointment which means, saddened by the failure of an expectation.  Ouch, that is intense!  I love to look at language from different angles and sometimes make up my own definitions for words.  So let’s look at the word disappointment differently.  What if dis-appointment meant,’ it is not your appointment’, so it wasn’t yours to experience because you didn’t need the experience.   That changes the energy completely.

My disappointment was about not getting recognition that my entire up line and two people in my direct down line received.  When I was in the throws of disappointment it was about them, me and what it meant in the grand scheme of things.  It was hooked to the past, attached to the future and filling up my now with negative energy.  Not very magnetic to drawing in what I want, is it?

It was programmed into me early on to avoid disappointment at all cost.  You did that by not having expectations, “not getting your hopes up” and not dreaming very big.  The thinking was protective, I’m sure, but it didn’t lead to the fulfillment of hopes, dreams and desires. It is actually created to keep everyone in the status quo, not rocking the boat.   We wouldn’t want any boat rockers for heaven sake!  People withhold joy and adventure in the name of avoiding disappointment.  That kind of programing doesn’t allow for risk taking and without taking risks it is hard to create a successful business.

Disappointment can set off a negative change reaction that will permeate and kill your business and your dreams if you let it.  Disappointment tells the Universe that you feel let down. It creates fear of being let down by not getting what your want.  It is almost the opposite of gratitude because you are saying that what the Universe sent you wasn’t the right thing.  In reality by not getting the thing that caused disappointment could have been a blessing  because it  could have sent you in a different direction. Like I said earlier, it wasn’t your appointment!

Gratitude attracts blessings, disappointment repels them.  It can block you from taking risks in the future.

Your perspective about what happens determines your future.  You can internalize your disappointments, making them about something in you that is flawed or you can have faith that it happened for a reason.  Turn disappointment into a blessing rather than a negative stream of thoughts and you will end up magnetizing all those things you desire that you think you have missed out on.

One of the ways to do this is to practice a forgiveness ritual.  It can be as brief as the one below.  The intention is to shift the energy of disappointment so it can transform.  I found this one to be very powerful when repeated nine times.

“I FULLY AND FREELY FORGIVE AND RELEASE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING FOR EVERYTHING
KNOWN AND UNKNOWN
REAL AND IMAGINED
IN ALL DIRECTIONS OF TIME AND SPACE
AND I AM FREE TO BE
HEALTHY WEALTHY AND HAPPY NOW
I AM FREE TO BE
HEALTHY WEALTHY AND HAPPY NOW
I AM FREE TO BE
HEALTHY WEALTHY AND HAPPY NOW

I AM FULLY AND FREELY FORGIVEN AND RELEASED
BY EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING FOR EVERYTHING
KNOWN AND UNKNOWN
REAL AND IMAGINED
IN ALL DIRECTIONS OF TIME AND SPACE
AND I AM FREE TO BE
HEALTHY WEALTHY AND HAPPY NOW
I AM FREE TO BE
HEALTHY WEALTHY AND HAPPY NOW
I AM FREE TO BE
HEALTHY WEALTHY AND HAPPY NOW”

Clearing and releasing are enormously powerful processes and are definitely an effective preparation and invitation for blessings, miracles, joy, success, prosperity and love to manifest in your life under Grace in Perfect harmonious ways. Releasing disappointment can open the door to success.

How do you deal with disappointment?  How has it block your from success and how has releasing it opened more doors.  I would love to hear from you about your experiences.
